    Shen Yun’s all-original music draws inspiration from China’s 5,000 years of civilization, breathing new life into musical styles from ancient times, while drawing on the power of a Western symphony orchestra. Unique to the orchestra is its artistic vision of cultural renewal—through works unfailingly positive and bright.

    This year’s repertoire offers a rich, uplifting experience that features Shen Yun’s celebrated original compositions, as well as timeless classics by Dvořák, Suppé, and Tchaikovsky.

    A Symphony Born Out of Success

    Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra was formed in response to theatergoers who longed to hear the music of Shen Yun—the phenomenally successful dance production—in concert form. Since its 2012 debut at Carnegie Hall, the New York-based orchestra has performed to great acclaim worldwide.
