Elham Heidarzadeh, who lives in Toronto, Canada, is from the Middle East and has had a life full of ups and downs since birth. Therefore, she always feels sad and has negative thoughts. She always wanted to know: Why do I have to live so hard and suffer so much?
When she was a child, she listened to the myths and legends told by her ancestors and believed in the existence of a higher intelligent life. Therefore, she repeatedly went to the religious section of the bookstore to read all kinds of books, looking for the true God and the meaning of life.
She said: “Later, when the pain of life was beyond my tolerance, I tried to commit suicide by poisoning many times. However, every time I woke up and my body fully recovered.
I also accidentally fell into the fire pit, causing skin burns; She also suffered a serious car accident while pregnant. But I survived. I felt God watching over me and wouldn’t let me die, but I didn’t know why.”
In 2005, Elham, a woman then only in her 30s, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. “I am very happy, because I have been begging for death before, and now I can finally leave this world through illness. However, deep down in my heart, I felt lost, because I had searched for so long and could not find the true God and the meaning of life, so I felt very unwilling to die.” She said.
“I pray to God religiously: If you really exist, can you appear to me? I’ve been looking for you all my life to let me know the answer before I die, okay?”
After being bedridden for three years, Elham found the book Zhuan Falun on the internet. She downloaded it but didn’t read it until a year later, in 2009.
One day , after she turned on the computer, she suddenly wanted to read the book. She began reading from the first lecture of “Zhuan Falun”.
“I finally found the answer, so I just kept crying,” she said. After reading the book, I knew the meaning of life. After three months, I can go shopping outside, do housework, and return to my normal life completely.”
She said, “After reading ‘Zhuan Falun’, I was so happy, I wanted to live. Because I know how precious my body and life are, I also want to cherish the opportunity to cultivate. So I went to the hospital and wanted to actively treat cancer.
I went to the best local hospital. After the examination, I asked the doctor: How long will I live? The doctor told me that I am a healthy person and do not have cancer.”
She remembered that she still had thyroid cancer, so she touched her neck and found that there was nothing in the place where the tumor had grown.
On the way home, she suddenly remembered the words in “Zhuan Falun”, “I don’t talk about curing diseases here, and we don’t treat diseases either.” But those who really cultivate, you carry a sick body, you can’t cultivate. I’m going to purify your body.” At that moment, she suddenly understood that Master had given her a new life so that she could cultivate. She chose to forgive those who had hurt her and live well.
