Inside the guide
Four people. Four ways out.
Each story is told in the person’s own words, with a short page afterwards to pause on. None of them found the way out in a straight line. You can read one on a quiet evening, and that is plenty.
01
A Londoner who went back every time
Earl Rhodes tried to stop drinking, smoking and drugs "lots of times and every time I went back." Then cigarettes went in two weeks, drinking in a month, cannabis in five.
02
Candies on the table
Tonggui Ye smoked two and a half packs a day. His longest try at quitting lasted half a day. One morning he told his wife, "This time is real."
03
A drummer who hid in his apartment
Sterling Campbell spent eight years on drugs and drink, sure that music meant using. Quitting turned out to be the start of his story, not the end of it.
04
A man who lived two lives
Han Jiao-Jeon drank every night to quiet one question. When the question found an answer, he found he no longer wanted the glass.

A note on the stories
Not a formula. A reminder you’re not alone.
The people in the guide practice Falun Dafa, a gentle meditation practice taught free of charge by volunteers. They describe what they found in their own words. Their experiences are personal, and yours may look different.
What they share is this: every one of them had tried to quit before and gone back. What changed was not a better trick, but something steady to come back to.
Questions

No. The guide is just stories. If you would like to explore further, there is a free live online introduction hosted by volunteers, but nothing in the guide asks for it.
If you have tried and gone back more times than you can count, you’re not the only one.
Take the guide. Read one story when you’re ready.
