Falun Gong practitioners from Arizona participated in the International Festival on October 19, 2012 at the University of Arizona campus.
A waist drum team, consisting of practitioners from Taiwan, performed at the festival. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and introduced Falun Gong to the attendees.
The practitioners set up a booth after the demonstration. They passed out truth-clarifying materials and talked to the visitors. An American student, who has been to both China and Taiwan, told practitioners that he witnessed how different the Chinese and Taiwanese treat Falun Gong. He said that the Chinese government blocks the truth, and people cannot practice it freely.
Many people asked for detailed information about Falun Gong, and the practitioners shared their own experiences of practicing it. Some Chinese students asked many questions about Falun Gong. After talking to practitioners for a long time, some of them quit the Chinese Communist Party.
